My artwork takes a humanitarian view of relationships, social encounters and portraiture. Often referencing visual patterns from diverse cultural art forms, my work explores the varying correlations between Art and the relationships we share throughout our lifetime.
My work focuses on abstract representations of androgynous characters and landscapes blending three-dimensional forms with two-dimensional layers. While I use a variety of mediums such as watercolor, ink and pastel in each project my methodology varies over time.
Although the methodology between collections differ from one another they are linked by the recurring thematic of our subjective perception of social encounters and relationships. Each project often consists of multiple works inspired by my visual representation and perception of people dear to me or complete strangers.
During research and production, current emotional and mental states are captured and lead to the next body of work.
